BAKING IN THE SUN
Each rack is then placed by hand out in the yard to dry. The tomatoes are now ready to dry in the hot Californian sun. It takes 5 to 7 days for the sun to dry our tomatoes. They are returned to the product processing area where the tomatoes are removed from the drying racks and collected for processing.
PROCESSING OUR PRODUCT As the cut sun dried tomatoes continue down the line from the chopper, the product is again visually inspected to ensure that only the highest quality product is sent to our valued customers. The sun dried tomato halves are are cut to various specifications.
PACKAGING OUR PRODUCT VSP sun dried tomatoes ship from California on refrigerated trucks. Valley Sun offers a full variety of sun dried tomato products from bulk pack to retail pack& also for ingredient use in hundreds of consumer products.
